NOTE FOR LEAGUE MATCH PLAYERS / CAPTAINS: Please read the below carefully and note any e-mails from captains, as typically swipe card access is required to enter buildings on campus – kindly refer to e-mails and coordinate via phone when possible. Thank you!
The Imperial College Chess Club meets every Monday evening from 19.30 to 22.00, typically in Room 711C of the Huxley Building at Imperial College. We will send regular emails to make everyone of the arrangements every week.
The external entrance to the Huxley building is on Queens Gate (past the Natural History Museum and before the turning into Prince Consort Road). Swipe card access is typically required to enter. If you are playing a match at Imperial, a member of the chess committee should be present to let you in. Once inside, take the lifts to the 7th Floor of the Huxley building and follow the signs to Room 711C.
The closest tube stations are South Kensington and Gloucester Road (both approx. 10 minute walk). The address is:
Imperial College London
South Kensington Campus
IMPORTANT FOR LEAGUE MATCHES: For League matches, please check the emails sent out by the club for details of the location as it may change from week to week. If you are unsure how to get here, please email us at chess[at]imperial.ac.uk and a member of the committee will be able to advise you.
FOR CONGRESSES AND TOURNAMENTS (Imperial College Chess Congress, London Team Rapidplay etc.), these events are typically in the Imperial College Union (Beit Quadrangle / Imperial College Union Prince Consort Road, SW7 2BB) – once you walk through the archway, walk straight ahead into the main Union building and proceed up the stairs / lift to the first floor.
