NOTE FOR LEAGUE MATCH PLAYERS / CAPTAINS: Please read the below carefully and note any e-mails from captains, as typically swipe card access is required to enter buildings on campus – kindly refer to e-mails and coordinate via phone when possible.
The Imperial College Chess Club meets every Monday evening from 19.30, typically in Room G.01 of the Royal School of Mines building at Imperial College. Due to room booking sometimes not always being available, this may occasionally be different; details of alterations to plans will be communicated via the mailing list and WhatsApp group.
League matches will typically be played elsewhere. League captains should contact the Imperial College team captain via email to confirm venue.
The closest tube stations are South Kensington and Gloucester Road (both approx. 10 minute walk). The address is:
Imperial College London
South Kensington Campus
IMPORTANT FOR LEAGUE MATCHES: For League matches, please check the emails sent out by the club for details of the location as it may change from week to week. If you are unsure how to get here, please email us at chess[at]imperial.ac.uk and a member of the committee will be able to advise you. Please note that emails on-the-night (particularly after players have started travelling) may not be responded to in time, but we will try!
FOR CONGRESSES AND TOURNAMENTS (Imperial College Chess Congress, London Team Rapidplay etc.), these events are typically in the Imperial College Union (Beit Quadrangle / Imperial College Union Prince Consort Road, SW7 2BB) – once you walk through the archway, walk straight ahead into the main Union building and proceed up the stairs / lift to the first floor.
