At Imperial Enterprise Lab we’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
We help students to think outside the box, break boundaries and dare to be different. We think anyone can be an entrepreneur and believe diversity is a competitive advantage not a tick box. Whether you want to test an idea, tackle a pressing social or environmental challenge, develop new skills to help you in your career, start a business or just meet interesting new people we’re here to help you. You can see what some of our students get up to and hear from experts in entrepreneurship in our magazine, D/srupt.
From student competitions to speaker events and from hackathons to skills seminars, co-working space, and expert mentors we offer all the support you need, free of charge and accessible to everyone.
Most of our events take place during term time, but we do have a few Pitch ‘n’ Mix community socials over the summer, which are a great opportunity to meet some entrepreneurial students, network and if you want to, pitch your idea in 60 second for friendly feedback from the community.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR PROGRAMMES AND EVENTS
The Enterprise Lab runs a range of extra-curricular entrepreneurship programmes, competitions and events that are freely available to all students at Imperial. We work with more than 2,000 entrepreneurial students every year. As well as hosting monthly community socials and inspirational How To Talks, the Enterprise Lab also run WE Innovate, one of the UK’s first university programmes to support female STEM entrepreneurs and Imperial’s flagship student startup competition, the Venture Catalyst Challenge with a £90k prize fund.
CO-WORKING SPACE
Hidden away under the South Kensington Library, the Enterprise Lab co-working space is the place to come to work on your idea or project, host meetings and meet the team and our community of enterprising students. We also host a range of events in the space throughout the year.
BUSINESS COACHING AND MENTORING
The Enterprise Lab also provides students with access to in-house expertise at all stages of their entrepreneurial journey. From Idea Surgeries with a member of the team to give guidance on next steps, to professional business coaches and subject specialist Experts-in-Residence, all the way up to mentoring with seasoned startup founders and industry experts via the Imperial Venture Mentoring Service (IVMS).
