Posted on by Remi B Pelletier
Don't miss this special guest lecture by the fascinating Prof John Hutchinson from Harvard University!
Shells are everywhere - silos, pipes, spheres, domes... - and highly efficient but small imperfections have large impacts on their load bearing capacities. Advances in research enable codes to develop and become more optimised. Prof Hutchinson has personally worked on the topic and will discuss his research and recent progress on the topic of shell stability!
When? Tuesday 17th March at 6pm
Where? SKEM 201, Imperial College London, South Kensington campus
