The whole time I was growing up, Manchester United were a force to be reckoned with, whether it was the Class of ‘92 winning The Treble in ‘99, the hat trick of Premier League trophies or Fergie’s final Premier League title before bowing out after 26 years. Like any team they would have their fair share of ups and downs, but ultimately they would come out on top. You only have to look at last season, with the team they had, they still managed to win the title ahead of clubs that were pumped full of cash such as Chelsea and City. The entire Skempton descends on Wembley

Wembley, the home of this nation’s football, and a fitting venue for CivSoc’s now annual football tournament. The tournament itself had humble beginnings last year, as Rachel Ribeiro, your CivSoc chair for those of you who have been hiding under a rock and not reading LIVIC, took it upon herself to start something new and leave her mark on the CivSoc calendar.
