Who Are We?

CivSoc is the student-run society for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London. Every member of the department is automatically a member of our society free of charge!

We are the most active Departmental Society at Imperial, organising a wide variety of events throughout the year to cater for the diverse needs and interests of our students.

What Do We Do?

Throughout the year we organise events which bring together students from all undergraduate and postgraduate year groups, and often staff and alumni!

Some of our main events are:

  • Freshers’ Pub Crawl
  • Civil Engineering Career's Fair
  • Night of Engineering Philosophy
  • CivSoc Bar Nights
  • Site Visits
  • Lunchtime talks with industry speakers
  • CivSoc International Tour

Get Involved!

The best way to hear about our latest events is through the emails which we send out to everyone in the Department. You can also synchronise your phone calendar with our CivSoc Calendar and follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

Committee elections take place through the Union every March. You can find a short description of each role or contact the current officer to learn more about the role that interests you!
