Welcome

The IQ committee is here to create a warm and welcoming environment to all members. We organise events, network with other universities, maintain the welfare and equal treatment of the LGBT society within Imperial and provide people with relevant advice.

The committee meets at least every month to organise new events and ensure the fluidity of all operations within IQ.

At the end of each year in March IQ holds an AGM during which members are elected to the various available positions.

I'm Alfredo, IQ president and self-defined king of the gays (& lesbians & bisexuals & trans people). I'm a third year Ph.D. student in Astrophysics and I've been in I.Q. for four years now. The reason why you won't be able to understand when we meet is because I'm Italian, but my wonderful committee will make sure to make my diktat happen.

Hey, I'm Matt, a 3rd year physicist and IQ's treasurer for this year. Obviously my main job is to keep the finances in check, but being a keen hockey player myself I also intend to develop the more active side of IQ, so keep an eye out for some alternative events. Aside from that, I'm generally pretty quiet, but always up for a chat, so just say hi!

Hey guys and girls, I'm Russell (a 3rd year physicist) and I'm your secretary for this year. I'm responsible for sending out the mailouts and making sure the rest of the committee know what they're supposed to be doing. I've had a great time with IQ from the moment I started at Imperial, so I hope you will too!

Hello, Im Chris Socha, a 3rd year ISE student. As Events Officer, it's my job to organise all the various events hosted throughout the year. I would LOVE you feedback; if you have any great ideas or suggestions for events, or IQ in general, let me know. (I'm also ICU LGBT Officer, so i'm more than happy to talk about any issues you may have, or any college related problems!) :-D

Hey! I'm Sebastian, a second year EEE student and also the Web and Publicity officer. I'm in charge of producing anything that can be used to promote IQ. So contact me if you have any suggestions or questions! I'm also quite active and play a variety of sports, so I'll also be contributing towards a more active side inside IQ. Hi I'm Iona and I'm this year's welfare officer. I'm here to ensure that IQ remains prejudice free and be a point of call for anyone in trouble. I drink tea/coffee/wine or beer so there is never a bad time of day for a chat.

Hi, I’m Sharan, here as your Post Graduate Officer this year, and doing a part-time MSc in Advanced Structural Engineering.  I’ll be organising the post-grad events so we can stay in touch throughout the year, and not just during term time.  I look forward to seeing you out and about!
