About IQ
IQ Logo

IQ (founded as Imperial Queers in 1997) is the LGBT society at Imperial College London. We are run by a committee elected by our members and are a social society which exists to make sure all gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and asexual students have opportunities to make friends, enjoy their time at Imperial and have access to useful information and support. It doesn't matter if you've been out for years or are just beginning to explore your sexual identity, we're very friendly. We're here for all sexualities and warmly welcome new members at any time during the year.

Membership to the society costs £5 annually, which you can purchase online at Imperial College Union. If you're a new member then you're definitely encouraged to come to enough events to be sure IQ is the society for you before buying membership - turn up, check us out and come to a few events before deciding if you'd like to stick around (though we're sure you will!). Once you buy membership you will have priority access to IQ events with limited places and you'll also be able to vote during our AGM in March.

As any other Imperial College Union society, IQ has it's own constitution. You can view it here.

IQ's Sponsor

Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Associate Affinity Groups (AAGs) are professional networks run by our employees. They create an environment that accepts, values and encourages diversity and inclusion. One of the bank's AAGs is the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Resource Group (LGBT Pride.) All employees are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work. Members and allies of the LGBT Pride are committed to raising awareness about LGBT issues and opportunities in the community.
